Can I join a second monitor to this laptop? null

Yes this laptop has both an HDMI port and a VGA port and can drive its own screen and external monitor simultaneously. I don't know if it can drive an external VGA monitor AND an external HDMI monitor simultaneously though.

Yes the laptop has an HDMI port (full size). It can drive it's own built in screen and an external monitor simultaneously. The monitor just needs an HDMI port, or you'd need an adapter from HDMI to the monitor's input port type. This is not unique to this laptop, laptops have been able to do this for many years.
