There are no speakers within the computer, but it does have the ability to process audio. So when you connect external speakers there will be sound.

However the ASUS monitor, VE278Q, also purchased at Best Buy does have speakers. The monitor is connected to the computer with a HDMI cable. The pair work well together and produce acceptable audio.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No speakers are included, so it does not have sound. It does have speaker and mic jacks on front and rear of unit. I hooked mine to an Altec Lansing spreaker system with powered sub woofer and it sounds as good as my stereo.
