I don't know about parental control but I bought this for possibility of my son using for zoom/online school. NO. Even debloated it will barely run zoom and a web browser together. The webcam is horrible. 4gb Max ram (can't be upgraded) and flash memory not a real ssd means slooooow performance. Your child will actually miss things in class for lag. Highly recommend a chromebook or a windows 10 laptop with an ssd (not emmc) and 8gb ram or at the very least ability to upgrade ram past 4gb. It does make a dif between frustrating /impossible and good function.

Here is a link to more information: https://news.microsoft.com/en-in/features/windows-10-parental-controls-feature/#:~:text=To%20turn%20on%20parental%20controls,are%20turned%20on%20by%20default. Whether the entry-level Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14 Laptop, model number 81VS009GUS, will depend on the requirements and compatibility of the specific APP you want to use. The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14 has a 300p webcam and microphone. It ships with Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. We recommend you check with the specific APPs software publisher's web site for their compatibility with Windows 10 S-Mode 64-bit operating system and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.
