Q: QuestionCan I upgrade the ram? or is it soldered in?

• A:Answer Yes, you can, I add extra 8gb. The 4gb are part of the laptop, you can't removed it. So I got 12gb. I saw some people that add an extra 16GB of memory to have a total of 20GB.

• A:Answer No. You'll have to pay for the upgrade. It has the online version built into the Edge browser. That version is very limited and basic, and you'll always need a web connection, but for basic tasks it's good. It's about the same as Google doc's. I installed the free LibreOffice to be able to work offline

• A:Answer Yes it does. It sounds kind of flat. There aren't any tone controls in Windows 11 like there were in Windows 10. You'll have to adjust the e.q. with whatever media player you'll be using.

• A:Answer To the person answering the question above. That's what they told me in the past. I bought a laptop with no spinning fan and it got burning hot underneath. Couldn't put it on my lap even if I wanted to. Are you sure this doesn't have a regular fan? My Acer and Gateway laptop have spinning fans. The Gateway is a piece of junk because it's always spinning and noisy af.
