• This is an entry-level system. It has a basic 480p web cam. There may be some buffering of the Skype video. You can add any type of mouse that is compatible with the Windows 10 Operating System.

• Skype works well if your home has a strong wifi signal. The camera on the Lenovo requires VERY bright light to produce a good image, and the image is a bit soft. That means your 94 year old mom will look 30 years younger, as the softer image makes everyone look wrinkle free. You can add a wireless usb mouse if you prefer. The trackpad on the Ideapad is easy to use so most folks will not miss having a mouse.
