I don't think Office is preloaded but is loaded once you activate it. In any case, in order to get the first updates to install properly, I had to uninstall the few things I had installed. This included MS Office. The update seemed to need around 6GB of storage to install properly. When I first turned the 110s on, the OS already took up all but 12GB of the storage. Right now, after the update, I have less than 6GB available after reinstalling a few needed programs (mainly miktex). I have not tried to reinstall MS Office, so I don't know if my "free year" is just gone because of the uninstall. My current storage usage includes around 3GB for "Pending updates and preview builds" even though update status is "updated". Still the OS does not allow me to delete what I think is around 3GB of apparently dead update files. I like the machine very much so far (it handles the tex very well) but this storage problem is my main disappointment. I added a 64GB mini-card, which means I can store all my files without difficulty, but this does not help with things like the actual disk space problem, which is needed for things like the update installation. By the way, the 2GB of memory seems to be enough for things to work decently, including tex.
