A little smaller then I️ had expected but for the price you really can’t beat it. I️t came with antivirus and Microsoft which was another great bonus! I️t tends to run a little slow when a few programs are running but good computer for simple every day tasks.

I really like this laptop. I'm not a gamer or a heavy user so this laptop is perfect for me. I use it for school so it is used everyday and it still performs like a champ! The only issue was when I first got it the updates really messed with the mousepad capabilities and I thought it was defective but after restarting it and having the upgrades finish I haven't had a problem.

This computer is the perfect size, specs and weight for kids wanting to learn JavaScript coding and electronics with Arduino. I purchased a few for my students and they work like a charm. We follow the fun www.PodPi.com curriculum and the kids love it. Enough capacity to browse and tinker, but yet enough to play games. All in all at this price it's a great device.

With a thin and light weight design, the Lenovo Ideapad 110s is a great choice for general everyday users who shop online, or browse articles on the web. It has a 64-bit intel processor with 2 gigabytes of ram and a 32 gigabytes of onboard storage with expansion via Micro SD card reader. With Windows 10, you can install Windows Store apps directly to external storage without eating up space on your main drive. A great choice for home users. Not recommended for power users.

Of all the personal computers I have brought home, the Lenovo Ideapad has made a hit with my wife. Because it is light weight and does everything she desires of it and more, she uses it hours on end while watching tv. The shift key;s location is her only complaint.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 110s-11 laptop for your wife. With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

This is an entry level, light use system. It uses Windows 10 Home 32-Bit as its operating system, which requires less than 1GB of RAM to run. There is a 32GB solid state hard drive for quick boot up and quick loading of programs and files. This device has the latest WiFi capability, with 802.11AC connectivity. It comes with a free 1-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365, a $69.00 value. If your requirements fit this profile, this device is a good choice.

This laptop can be a great purchase warranting what you intend to use it for. I bought this laptop for the purpose of writing papers and completing assignments for college classes while out of the house. The laptop passed with flying colors as it is very small and light, perfect for lugging around. in terms of power, this laptop can hold its own surprisingly being able to run games like astroneer at around 45-50 fps (on low settings). The only draw back is the storage capacity. With only 32 GB of storage, you will run out of space alarmingly fast. In about four months I had used over 85% of the space allotted from just Windows and Kaspersky updates alone. If you're looking for a laptop that can run very well and are primarily going to use it for cloud based work like, google drive, then I recommend it. However if you aim to store files on it you will have to supplement the storage with a USB drive or external drive later down the road. For what it's worth I would recommend this laptop despite the small headache of storage space

Ok- start with setting the right expectations. It needs to browse the internet, stream some normal quality video, and be able to do very basic office tasks like Email, Word Processing, etc. It only needs to really do one of these at a time. If you set your needs there then it's a great little machine for someone who doesn't have (or need) anything else.
Pro's:
Price, Battery Life (6+ hours basic use), and portability, Windows 10. Runs Cool.
Cons:
The processor is 2 classes below a basic Core I3 and video is weak. WiFi performance is average. .2GB of RAM is barely passable. 32 GB of hard drive space is tiny -I had 7GB left after installing what the user needed.
Sounds like a negative review- right. NOT. Once configured properly and relieved of it's bloatware it streams Netflix or Xfinity great. MAIL is simple and useable. Combine cloud storage and an SD card and the storage is fine. Install free office software (a little dated but good enough for the basic user) and now it's a good traveller for someone stepping up from a basic tablet.
It does what it's designed to do and does it well but you do get limitations in this price point that you either live with or pay more money to overcome.

I use this computer for web surfing, email, a calendar program, and the occasional Microsoft Office document or inventory application in either Word or Excel. MS Office is a free subscription for one year. I've recently added the Kindle emulation app from Amazon. The unit works very well for all of these services most of the time. The screen is very good, the keyboard good for its size, Windows 10 and the touchpad decent once you get the feel of them, portability is supurb, and the battery life excellent to outstanding especially considering the small size and lack of weight. Computing speed is good enough for what I do, the only real slowness being when it is running an antivirus scan. At these times it can be painfully slow. I've worked around this by plugging the computer in overnight, setting the power management to never sleep on AC power, scheduling the virus scan to run in the middle of the night, and leaving the computer on. This works very well, and also starts the day with a fully charged battery. With the applications I have loaded, the 32GB internal storage is approaching 90% utilization. I've supplemented the internal storage with a tiny USB drive that also runs the calendar program (portable between computers), and I will probably add a mini SD card in the future. For pictures, music, and video applications, one would want more storage, probably a lot of it. I don't do any of those on this machine. Overall, the unit is doing what I bought it for, and I'm quite happy with the purchase; however, I do realize that I'm pushing the limits of its capability, and sacrificing a bit of processing speed in the bargain. To some users this may be more important, hence only four stars. For me, I have other computers to do heavy lifting, and use this one strictly as a handy, extremely portable light duty machine. It is extremely good for that purpose. I would buy it again.

For $170 you can't go wrong with this little laptop. It is extremely light and portable and holds a nice charge. Now don't go expecting to overload it with software and expect the 2GB of ram and Celeron processor to kick a%#. It is a great little portable computer for what it was made to do. It is nice because even though the internal memory is only 32GB there is a micro SD slot so for $40 you can get a 128GB micro SD card to store all your music and movies.

Very lightweight easy to carry. It matches expectations in that it handles basic browsing, but is not powerful enough for mid level gaming or computation. The keys don't light up and the backlit lcd screen means it's not great for low-light use. For the price it's an excellent buy if you simply need a light laptop that can access the internet and drive services. I use mine to remote into other pcs or record audio through an interface and its great for those purposes.

this is my 2nd. I use this as a lazy laptop on the couch when i surf or email but better than a chromebook because i sometimes need microsoft office programs. its when I'm lazy, not the laptop!
Pros: lightweight/small footprint. starts up fast. 1 year free microsoft office 360 ($69 value). 3 usb ports. microsd slot allows for expanded memory ( I store everything on the micro SD). decent battery life about 3-4 hrs wih moderate use . pretty good multitasking for the price ( I often have 4-6 websites open). Price under 150. very responsive with a Logitech micro usb mouse. built-in webcam and hdmi port
Cons: memory is very limited which slows processing down compared to higher priced computers.Microsoft Updates may eventually run out of space for usable functionality and it cant be expanded. screen is matte, lower resolution compared with more expensive laptops...but its very usable for $120 and can be enlarged easily with ctrl/roll function.

Not a bad little computer, but fairly slow. I bought it mainly for word processing and it does the trick. This is not a power machine and has limited memory for saving documents and running programs. But you can’t beat the price for a little note taking machine.
