    Asked by LlamaLover.

    • Answer We recommend you check with the game software publisher for their compatibility with Windows 10 Home 32-bit and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements to run their software, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.

  • Questioncan i run linux on this or is it in jail for win10 only

    Asked by whome.

    • Answer The Lenovo 110s-11IBR computer will run 64-bit AMD Ubuntu 16.04 OS installed on the computer (and not merely run from a CD). I installed this OS on the computer, eliminating Windows 10. You need to change a number of the configuration settings on the computer to do this. Configuration Tab: USB Legacy-Enabled, Wireless-Enabled; BIOS Flash Back - Disable; Security Tab: Intel Platform Trust Technology-Disabled; Boot Tab: Boot Mode-Legacy Support; Boot Priority-UEFI First; USB Boot-Enabled; Exit Tab-OS Optimized Defaults-Disabled. You need to change the order of the boot devices to make sure you are placing the ISO CD ahead of the Windows boot loader (or the USB drive if you are using a USB rather than a disk to boot. When the ISO CD boots up, follow the directions to make sure that you install the UEFI enabled boot loader option and not some older legacy boot protocol. I wiped the entire disk clean, so I do not know whether a dual boot solution would work. My previous Linux computer is a 12 year old IBM T-43 which still runs fine, but is heavy, limited battery, runs hot, etc. It was time to upgrade BUT a lot has changed with the boot loading set up. This whole UEFI was new to me and confusing. I initially tried to install Linux Mint and then Debian with no success. I was using the 386 versions of ISO as I thought that was appropriate for this sort of machine. However, I heard that the 64-bit AMD version of Ubuntu had automated the install with a UEFI machine (and it sure does!). I have heard, but did not check, that the 386 Ubuntu image does not have this install support, so I went straight for the 64-bit rather than the 32-bit version. So far, it seems to run just fine--and on the first try.
