  • QuestionI'm a hobby photographer...would this computer be able to run Picasa, my photo editing go-to. I also have a thousand pictures stored in Picasa. Would this computer handle that? Thank you Chattykathy

    • Answer You'll have about 90 GB of usable storage. It can probably handle the software but if you have pictures stored on your current laptop you may want to see how much space they're taking up. Then do a comparison. If Picasa has cloud storage as Office does then I don't see a problem. Also, my laptop came in S-mode so only Windows authorized programs can be installed. It's easy to switch out of though. You just can't switch back. You'll be able to add Picasa then if you couldn't before.

    • Answer The Lenovo IdeaPad 130-15 laptop, model number 81H5002FUS ships with a CD/DVD drive. In order to create a playable DVD, you will need to add 3rd party Media Creation/Media Player software, as Windows 10 Home does not have such software pre-installed.

    • Answer You can copy files to a CD/DVD drive. If you want to create your own music CDs and/or movie DVDs, you will need to add Media Player/Creator software, which is not included with Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System, the operating system on this model. If you switch to Windows 10 Home, there still will not be any Media Player/Creator software. You will need to add the software.

    • Answer This is a North American model. The CD/DVD-RW will read write discs you make. To play commercial CDs and DVDs you will need to install a Media Player Software that is compatible with the Windows 10 S-Mode 64-bit Operating System. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. We recommend you check with the specific software publisher's web site for the specific media player software you will be using, for their compatibility with Windows 10 S-Mode 64-bit operating system or if you switch, Windows 10 Home Operating System and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration
