I highly doubt they will sell you a broken or ruined item. Everything is checked before you purchase it. With all deliveries, nothing is guaranteed. I suggest you go into store to purchase, whether it’s new or open box there is always someone to welcome any questions. My purchase was showed to me prior to purchase to ensure that there was no damages to the product. I have had bad experiences buying electronics from other places but never at Best Buy. Just ask the geek squad they are the best to answer questions.
