“Just bought this laptop today. The battery had no charge in it upon opening a brand new, sealed box. MFG date 4/21/21. I am just curious to know if others encountered the same thing. We found this unusual. Expected some charge. We plugged in to charge.”

Brand new sealed in the box Every battery/laprop will require charging. Some or most lithium batteries should be drained for long term storage or shipping.
