The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 Laptop, model number 81WR000FUS, does not ship from Lenovo with free virus protection software. There is a 30-day trial of McAfee VPS installed that will activate with the initial activation of Windows 10, then protect your computer for the 30-day trial period. You do not need to use McAfee VPS. You can either purchase a subscription to McAfee or uninstall McAfee and use the free Windows Defender VPS installed as part of Windows 10 or uninstall McAfee an choose your own 3rd party VPS. Just uninstall McAfee VPS first if you are not going to use McAfee as there can only be one active VPS on the computer at a time. Check with Best Buy about any offers they may have, providing free VPS with the purchase of a new computer.
