There is a bay for a 2.5" drive (hard drive or solid state). Other users have reported their computers did not have a drive mounting bracket for this bay, but mine did, and I mounted a 1Tbyte hard drive. However, my drive's ribbon cable was too short to reach the connection on the motherboard. It looks like a ribbon cable about 4 inches long should work, but it will have to twist through 90 degrees, and may have to be routed underneath the battery.

Cable was out of stock when ordered (November), but arrived 12/31/2020. Installation was not difficult but care must be taken with the ribbon cable retention clip. I now have a 2.5" 2-Tb hard disk drive installed, recognized, and usable. See the image for cost info.
