“Does this device require updates (which can only be paused), or is there an option to turn them off completely and/or choose the ones you permit? Some automatic updates include bugs and ruin the system. I would like to control the updates on my end.”

When I bought it it asked my for upgrade to windows 11 I did it, but there is no issue I'm using since almost more then a month it's work great

Click on Windows Update. Click the Advanced options button. Under the "Pause updates" section, use the drop-down menu and select how long to disable updates.
