“Is the memory upgradable?”

• Yes. It is only upgradable to 8GB and it has to be one stick. There are not two memory slots. I bought my son an 8GB Stick of Patriot VIPER memory. His computer runs like a sewing machine now. Both of the brands below are very good and comparable. I have just had great results with Patriot, but have used both of these brands below many times and never had issues.

• Model number 81D100EDUS this model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. The maximum RAM this configuration can support is 8GB of RAM, so your certified technician can remove the existing 4GB RAM stick and replace it with an 8GB stick of RAM.
