“Is it okay and safe for this gaming laptop to have a protective fitted sleeve on it for added protection since this is a gift for my 13 year old or will the protective sleeve mess with the laptop’s cooling system and or just make it overheat???? Thank you”

You must not block the cooling intake or exhausts. Keyboard spill proof membrane is OK. If you block the cooling, it should thermal limit CPU, graphics, etc. , but I am not going to test it to prove it wont destroy something which is not thermal protected, rotfl.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Any sleeve that you add should not cover any of the vents on the bottom of the unit (intake) or the sides of the unit (exhaust). If any of these are blocked, the unit will become hot and will throttle itself. Which will greatly reduce performance.
