“BestBuy says max ram is 8gb, comes with 8gb, but it's a dual channel. One lenovo expert says max ram is 16gb, and another expert says it comes with 4gb soldered ram, but nothing about the other 4gb. Which is true? Can someone who actually knows confirm?”

CORRECTION: The Lenovo IdeaPad L340-15 Gaming Laptop, model number 81LK01MSUS, ships with 8GB RAM in the one available RAM memory slot within this configuration. This model has a maximum system RAM capability of 16GB DDR4-2400MHz. Your certified technician can replace the existing 8GB RAM stick with a 16GB RAM stick. This model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. We recommend you consult your certified technician for your upgrade options.
