• I got this yesterday and it looks exactly like the pictures regardless of what the descriptions say. It has a dvd-rw drive and power dvd software pre-installed.

• I purchased this laptop 90 days ago at Best Buy West in Oklahoma City and in fact, it does have a CD/DVD drive.

• Yes mine came with a DVD/Cd. The specs did state that it doesn't but when I received it, it came with it that's why I was surprised to see that

• Yes, it has a DVD drive. It is a bit picky though. Some DVDs I have will not load. Not idea why. You can also purchase a USB plug and play DVD/Blu-ray reader/writer for around $80. I have to burn DVD data discs for storage and sometimes use it to watch DVDs.

• yes I got it last month, the BB floor rep said NO it has no DVD RW but it does have a MICRO SD Slot, which was what I needed, upon unpacking I sadly and angrily found the opposite - DVD RW yes - Micro SD slot - NO. i just took a picture of my L340 with the DVD open to the right for you, its hard to see as my computer desk is black too, hey I think even the User Guide said this thing does not have a DVD RW, but either way they do at least mine does.
