I've never run it down, gaming, though. Just let it blast away, for about 20 minutes, or so. It generates a lot of heat, so yeah, that energy comes from somewhere! I'd check YouTube for reviews, where they cover battery life. I wish I had better answers for you, regarding the battery, but I leave it plugged in, pretty much, all the time.
