I don’t have experience using a thunderbolt dock with a non-thunderbolt eligible chipset—AMD—as this laptop has. I do know that the top-most usb-c port pulls from the integrated graphics with the Optimus feature on (relevant if using on battery or usb-c charging, which conveniently uses the bottom-most usb-c port). Via Lenovo’s technical documentation available online: “Supports up to 4 independent displays (native display and 3 external monitors via HDMI® and USB-C®) • HDMI® supports up to 4096x2160@60Hz • USB-C® supports up to 5120x3200@60Hz”
