Q: QuestionHow would this laptop compare to a laptop with an AMD 6900HS and GeForce GTX 3060 for gaming (assuming RAM is the same)? I am specifically comparing to the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15. Thanks!
Asked by ToneTone.
- A:Answer The 7840HS is a Zen4 processor whereas the 6900HS is a Zen 3+ processor. This laptop's CPU would be a pretty good upgrade whereas the GPU would be about an even match with the ASUS...depending on the max TDP of the 3060. You would have access to some of the newer features though, such as DLSS which might tip the scales. If you already own the ASUS, it wouldn't be a worthwhile upgrade. If not, I believe this would be a better option performance wise. I do think the ASUS has a better display though.

Q: QuestionHow much ram can this laptop support? I’m asking because I’m hoping to upgrade it to 64gb of ram if I end up buying it.
Asked by Lifec.
- A:Answer There is contradictory information on the answers to this question, so if you are really interested, I would recommend going to one of the major supplies of RAM (PNY, Kingston, etc.), where you can search by make/model or motherboard. It's in their best interest to sell you the maximum you can use, and also to be happy with the purchase.

Q: QuestionWhat is the capacity of the 2nd m.2 slot? Can I plug in a 2TB or 4TB m.2 2280 SSD in the 2nd slot? Will it affect the system negatively? Thanks!
Asked by microlifecc.
- A:Answer There is a similar question about RAM in the Q&A pages. I give the same answer for storage as for RAM: check the websites of the main memory manufacturers and sellers (PNY, Kingston, etc.). It's in their interest to sell you the biggest upgrade possible for any computer, and for you to be happy with the purchase.

Q: QuestionWhat is the casing/body material of this laptop? metal, aluminum, or plastic?
Asked by Adnan.
- A:Answer It's a high quality grade plastic. Not chinsey at all. Feels good to the touch. I have no problems with it. It also doesn't seem to be much of a fingerprint magnet either. It's really nice for its price point. I am quite pleased.

Q: QuestionHow long does the battery last when not gaming doing small task like taking notes and running school softwares generally using it for school
Asked by ScyT.
- A:Answer Battery use is always problematic, as there is no single, standard method of measuring life under different conditions. Furthermore, different conditions will affect battery life: constant vs. intermittent use, brightness setting on the screen, battery age, etc. My suggestion is to research reviews, where the reviewer provides information on how battery life was measured. You could also try social media sites like Reddit, where you could just post the question and get a variety of answers.
