Does the refurbished products has warranty null

I was able to purchase warranty through best buy and when I had an audio issue with my laptop best buy honored the warranty with no hesitation. When you buy the warranty you get a certain $ amount of credits that will be used for any repairs necessary so there's no out of pocket cost.
