MS Office comes preinstalled on the device. And you can purchase a standalone version of MS Word from the Microsoft App Store. Or if you feel like it you can purchase Microsoft Office 2019, It is a one time purchase that can be used on one computer.

There is a 30-day trial of Microsoft Office 365 included as part of the Windows 10 operating system. In order to keep the program active after the trial period, you will need to purchase a product key. You will not need to download any additional software. We recommend you contact Microsoft about purchasing just Word and what the cost would be.
