I bought it for my 85 year old dad who not only had never used a computer but is ridiculously impatient. He doesn't do much more than play games on it. But buying the touch screen was the smartest electronic decision I've made in a while...lol. Seriously, it is easy to set up and use. (Oh you will have to set her up with a Gmail account and it took forever for my dad to choose a password he could remember. (Suggestion: birth month and year....LOL). It is very lightweight and still sturdy.

We recommend you check with the software publisher's web sites of the APPs your mother will be using for their compatibility with the Chrome operating system and the Google Play Store, and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.
