The Star Wars Jedi Challenges in intended for people 13 years and older.

My 5, almost 6 year old loves it. The mask is a little heavy, so he holds it up with one hand, but he doesn’t care. He’s been acting out Star Wars battles for about a year and this headset, although not perfect, makes his dueling battles come true.

My 6 year old lives it. I have to help him set up the games.

Some people may say this headset may hurt his eyes, but this is an ar headset so it shouldn’t do too much damage unlike VR. Not only are the imagines in the real world (from his perspective), but you can also see where your going, and it’s diffracted through a set of glasses. So if your child can read, and understands the physics of Star Wars, then yeah! Go for it!

I bought it for my 6yr old girl and she loves it. If your 7yr old can read they should be good.

Just bought for my 6 year old on his birthday and he loves it - he does need help getting it going though as he cant read yet. Ha ha. Once the fighting starts he has a blast.

If you are willing to supervise the use of it, and have lots of room. My seven year old smacked me in the face and almost broke our glass out of the China cabinet.

it might be a bit difficult due the necessary coordination, but I don't think the content is inappropriate. I think he'll love it, it just may be difficult.

I would check with manufacturer. I have the Samsung Gear VR and it is recommended for 13 and older. Their warning was against younger than 13 using a Virtual Reality product as young eyes are still developing and could cause damage. Proceed at your (your child's) own risk.
