You probably want to charge it up before you start. Our light saber came with a very small amount of charge, which depleted quickly. Also, a negative is that the game only comes with one charger, although both devices need to be charged. You would think that they would throw in an extra charger, because these chargers are so inexpensive. It uses a mini USB charging connector, however, which is common to other devices. If anyone knows how long it takes to fully charge each of the devices, that would be helpful info.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The unit comes partially charged, so you can probably just pick up and play, but not for too long. Also, the unit has ONE charger, and the headset and lightsaber BOTH use that charger (but as it's micro usb you probably have a spare laying around to charge them at the same time). Also, there is an app for your phone that must be downloaded before playing - and fyi it eats your phone battery pretty quickly so make sure that is charged too. Lots of fun for everyone in the family but probably need an adult present to manage. This is a gift you can play soon after opening....like a few minutes - then will have to charge for the next round. I'd say after a full charge it can last 1-2 hours of sustained play - usually my phone battery was the limiting factor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It all depends if plan on playing the game immediately after opening it. It does take a few minutes to set it up with your smart phone and synchronize the system using the app provided. It is very important that you use the app to set the system up and that you have a compatible smart phone. Please find the updated list of phones at jedichallenges.com/compatibility. If you plan on using the Star Wars: Jedi Challenges immediately after opening the packaging , you may want to have it fully charged and already set up. Have fun!
