Star wars edition is a limited edition, 4000 pieces only The lid, or the top panel is glass, I believe so sort of hardened glass, and non its not metal Everything else about the laptop being the same

I can only assume this was specially made for Best Buy since they are the only ones selling it. The $1599.99 is the plain (no design) platinum cover. The specs on both are the same as far as I know.
