“How is the sound of the fan? I have a work Lenova that is extremely quiet but have a Sony that is super load. How does this compare?”

The fan is pretty quiet. I don't think I've ever really noticed the sound. There are actually two fans inside, so they can probably run at a lower speed than laptops with a single fan which should make it quieter. I also tend to use my laptop with a cooling pad, which helps keep the fans from having to go up to max speeds.

The Y700 is one of our new generation systems. It is a high performance system, meant for gamers and photo video editing. It is also good for engineers and CAD. The fan on the Y700 is a heavy duty fan for maximum cooling. It will probably be louder than your work computer and the fan may run more frequently. It is still one of our latest generation fan configurations.
