A:Answer Hybrid drive simply refers to a two drive system, the second being this unit's 1 terabyte hard disk drive. The first drive is a solid state drive which is much smaller in size but also more quiet and faster. (At least that's how this seems to me.) It's used to load apps and settings more quickly, allowing the user to start working or playing shortly after system startup. Programs may still be installed on the hard disk drive, however, and the user shouldn't see too much of a difference.
