You can adjust the settings to do various things when you close the lid. If you set it to sleep only and not shut down you will be returned to exactly where you left off when you closed the lid. All programs will still be opened to where they were.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't shut it down at all. I keep it all the time on. When I am not using it, I just close the screen. When I am back I just open the lid and continue working...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I find this unit sleeps well. Depending on what operating software you have depends on how it wakes up. I have Windows 8.1 and when I wake up the computer I have to sign in. If I left off at the desktop, it opens to that and I believe if you leave an app open it will wake up to the open app after you sign in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would really suggest to run away from this product. It's not very good. Really slow. I counted "10 missisipi" to load facebook.com on chrome. No other apps running. My internet is FIOS and older computer runs way much faster when I ran the same test. Not a good product. To answer your question, when you put the laptop on sleep, it drains the battery way faster. I noticed you cant put the laptop on sleep, you have to fully shut it down. Otherwise the battery drains when you put it on sleep even tho you're not using it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I close it all the time and even over night. When I open it everything I had been working on is there and I can continue with not problem.
