The previous Lenovo answer is correct, the SSD has a warranty sticker attached to its mounting screw so it's best to wait until the warranty expires to upgrade the SSD, which in my case is a WD SDBPMPZ-256G 2242-sized drive inside of a special adapter that extends it to 2280-length. However, Crucial's website has several 2280-sized drives in the compatibility matrix so barring any Lenovo firmware blocks you should be able to replace the drive with a 2280 when your warranty runs out.

A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. This model ships with a 256GB PCIe NVMe TLC solid state hard drive. We recommend you consult your certified technician about your storage upgrade options.
