I was hoping that this would lead to someone developing a case for it. Not only for this reason but also to prevent dents to the aluminium cover. A nice clear clip on bumper case with added clip on keyboard protector would be nice. A pair of raised feet to lift the rear up so that the fans work better would be nice. Maybe someone at UAG or something will see this...

It doesn't come with one, but I'd expect you could find one. The keyboard is locked in tablet mode but I do agree with you about the keyboard being face down.
