• I think because Lenovo are selling the same laptop on their website with 8GB RAM and bestbuy are offering 16GB RAM. It has 256 GB SSD and lenovo are offering 512GB SSD. You can always buy an external hard disk later. I love having the 16GB RAM

• The version of Microsoft Windows 10 Home on this system is a "clean" installation. The only adware or additional software on this system is a trial version of Microsoft Office 365. Nothing else.
