It does not. When I was at the store I asked that very question. I was told NO but there was another version of the laptop in black. That one cost about $300 more. It was slightly larger but the screen was the same size. So it did not go edge to edge. I opted for the silver less expensive one because of the screen. I like how it goes all the way to the edge on silver version.
