yes and no. Went thru all this with Geek Squad. RAM can't be upgraded but SSD can be upgraded to 1 TB. But since it is so new, they want to charge almost $400 for that drive! Not sure if upgrade beyond 1 TB is even an option.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As others have said, the RAM is soldered onto the board. The SSD CAN be upgraded. HOWEVER, here's what you need to know. 1) The SSD slot IS NOT a 2280-size drive. It's an M.2 2242 NVME slot. This means a standard off-the-shelf NVME drive isn't going to fit. A 2230 drive would work, provided you had an adapter. 2) Make sure you also have an external enclosure that supports M.2 NVME 2242 drives to clone the OEM drive. That will make life much easier. I didn't do that and had to make a Win 11 boot USB, do a clean install, and then download all the drivers from Lenovo. FYI, neither the touchpad nor the wifi will work until you install the drivers. I had to work around this by using a USB C dongle with a hard-wired ethernet connection and a wireless USB mouse. Once Windows 11 was set up and updates were installed, everything worked as expected. Your best bet is to find a 2242 drive and clone it. I only found two brands available in 1 or 2 TB that were reasonably priced. I opted for the Timetec, and it is working without issue so far.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No laptop in Lenovos yoga line has ram that can be upgraded. It’s soldered.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes Geek Squad can do that but have to make sure they get the correct SSD drive as the Lenovo uses a different drive than the stock on in the computer.
