“I have an external hard drive western digital my passport USB 3.0. I see Lenovo Yoga 9 comes with USB Type C port. Does my hard drive is compatible with the new laptop or does it have 2 ports, one for Type C and one for older ones(Like 3.0,2.0 etc..).”

There are standard USB ports on this system, your external hard drive will work on this system.

This can be done through all 4 available ports: ---directly through either of the 2 USB 3.0 ports (that are also backward compatible with older USB 2.0 external drives), ---through the USB 2.0 configured charging port as long as you are running off battery power - this port serves as both a charging port and traditional USB 2.0 port, just not at the same time) ---directly through the new USB 3.1 (USB C) port, although you will need a USB C adapter for your traditional USB cable; I bought such an adapter at Best Buy for about $15) Hope this helps!
