I'm not sure of the Windows Hello feature. A Lenovo rep who was at Best Buy, told me that the camera to the left of the main center camera, was for Windows Hello. But I also recall reading online that it does not support it. As far as heat: I had several HP Spectre x360s (all i7, QHDs; Broadwell and 1 new Skylake) and they all got too hot for me. They would get super hot around the top left corner near the charging port. And worst of all, they all, at times, became too hot around the left palm rest area. I could not deal with that and the entire unit was just a bit too bulky and heavy for tablet mode to feel right. They also became too hot on the bottom rear center area. Those are the reasons I now have a Yoga 900 i7, 16GB RAM. The Yoga feels much lighter and a bit thinner. It also does not get hot or even warm anywhere on the palm rests or keys. The Yoga can and does sometimes become hot on the bottom rear center area (below the hinges). That is not a problem for me because at home I always place it on a pillow and away from home I place it on the carrying case and or my laptop bag (if not on my desk). Another nice thing about the Yoga is that unlike the Spectre, it has no vents on the bottom so you never have to worry about what you place it on. The vents are all hidden behind the watchband hinge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was worried about it overheating as well, however, having it for 3 full days now and running a ton of apps, interwebs, etc. its a little warm to the touch, however, nothing major. Have not tried face recognition yet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yoga 900 vents through the hinge so it can truly be used on a lap or pillow! Sure, it gets a bit warm, but not nearly what I have experienced with three previous laptops. Hello face is not supported everywhere. I cannot get it to work. I have opted for a picture login. I selected an image then draw three quick motions on specific parts of the image to unlock the computer. This machine is so blazing fast, that start up (even from dead start) is only a few moments. I'm impressed every time I open Yoga 900!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know about hello. No face recognition so far as I know. It can get warm if you're gaming (first-person sims, for example). Not usually hot, though. If you're using business apps, it stays VERY cool.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does not work with facial recognition that i have been able to find. Heat is not an issue. It stays relatively cool. The underside does warm up a little bit but even when taxing the system it never gets to the point where it is uncomfortable. Most of the time it is pretty cool underneath.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
