• Yes, it has a built in microphone. You will need to install a sound recorder program. Windows 10 Home doesn't have this preinstalled. Be sure to use a sound recorder APP that is compatible with Windows 10. There sound recorders APPs available at the Microsoft Store.

• i was actually told by a lenovo rep today that it can’t be used to record anyone speaking at a distance. it certainly doesn’t work when you use the audio recording function in onenote.
