“Is the keyboard backlit, that is can you use the keyboard in a dark room? Reading the specifications here and elsewhere some say yes and another says no backlight. Which one is right?”

It is definitely NOT a back-lit keyboard. IF anything it illuminates like a glow in the dark keypad. I've used it in a dark space without lights and was able to see the keyboard just fine.

Somebody needs to take this item into a dark room and see if the keyboard is visible in the dark or not. Seems like something everybody would want to know. Amazing getting a solid answer is seemingly impossible.
