If you keep you virus protection up to date there should be no problem there. Also this system uses an Intel Core I-7 processor. Intel is the #1 processor manufacturer in the world. The 8GB RAM is solid state, no moving parts, so it should last for at least 10 years. The 1TB hard drive should always be backed up on to an external archive drive.
