First, it’ll cost about $11 a month on high speed .11 cents kw/h. There’s so many variables into this though. The ionizer creates a small amount of charged particles that attach to other smaller particles like dust mites and such making the filter catch them. But turning it off does not. I usually leave mine on at the expense of filter life. However there’s a significant air difference when left on.

While this air purifier is not completely ozone-free when the plasma function is activated, it is compliant with the CDC's safety limit for ozone emitted.
