So far after a week i have not had that problem. Have u ensured whether the mechanisn to vent outside is connected properly. Is the fan direction adjusted for outside venting? -(with the previous GE , the fan had to be reversed). With this LG, there is a bracket to insert to change the direction of the exhaust air.

We understand your concern regarding exhaust air leakage, especially in comparison to your previous unit. The LG MVEF1337F is designed with a high-capacity 550 CFM exhaust fan that effectively clears smoke, heat, and cooking odors from your kitchen. When the unit is vented outside (either through the roof or the back wall), it should not leak exhaust air into the room. The microwave’s default venting is room venting, but it can be adapted to outside venting to prevent any excess air or smoke from circulating back into the kitchen. To ensure proper venting, we recommend installing the unit for outside venting, as this will provide optimal airflow and prevent any issues with exhaust leakage into the room. https://www.lg.com/us/cooking-appliances/lg-mvef1337f-over-the-range-microwave#pdp_specs If you have further questions or need assistance with installation, feel free to send us a private message on @LGUSSupport on social media, and we’ll be happy to assist you.
