Hi there! Thank you for sharing your experience with the MSER1590S microwave. We understand that a loud and fluctuating noise can be quite concerning. While some noise is normal during operation, it shouldn’t sound like a diesel engine or be excessively loud. It’s possible that something might be causing the irregular noise, such as an improperly seated turntable or an object that could be obstructing the operation. We recommend checking to ensure the turntable is correctly positioned and that there are no items obstructing it. If the noise continues and seems unusual, it may indicate an issue with the unit. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All the microwaves are no easier than they used to be.... so you just have accept that. to me. This one was less noisy than the GE I bought and returned. I would listen to a freight train just to have the option to manually disable the child lock(We have no children and I don't care to unlock the microwave every single time I want to do the smallest thing with it.! Grrrr! ) I bought the model that you mentioned and I am very happy with it.
