Is the microwave handle metal or plastic? null

The handle on the LMVH1711ST is stainless steel. ^CP

I believe it is a "metal" covered plastic handle. It could break for sure. I was looking for a microwave without a handle because my GE microwave handle (which was plastic) broke even after I replaced it with the $80 replacement handle. Its a real hassle.
