The front flap with filter rattles a bit when the condenser is running. But we also have it mounted on a metal frame which may not help. Honestly, it's a bit large for a window unit.

The LW1823HR operates at a maximum noise level of 61 decibels (adjusted), which is comparable to a normal conversation in a home setting—quiet enough for living rooms or bedrooms without being disruptive. To help maintain the quietest operation: Keep the washable filter clean. A clogged filter forces the unit to work harder—leading to increased noise. Remove the filter monthly, rinse under running water, let it dry fully, and reinstall. Ensure a secure, level installation. Tighten all mounting screws in the window kit and make sure the unit sits firmly in the frame. A leveled, stable placement minimizes vibration noise. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-18000-btu-230v-window-mounted-air-conditioner-with-12000-btu-supplemental-heat-function-white/6554570.p?skuId=6554570 If you have any further questions or need step-by-step assistance, please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport and our team will be more than happy to explore possible solutions.
