• Yes. I have both a Vizio and Insignia TV, it connects via the supplied digital cable.

• If your Visio tv has a optical out port on it it should work. You might need to use the sound bar remote to control the sound however. I hooked this up to an LG TV and the TV remote controlled the sound so there was no need for a second remote but I'm not sure if the same would be true for a Visio tv.
