• If you connect it with the optical cable it will turn on and off with the tv.

• You need to turn sound bar separately by using remote control. You will see the indicator light whenever turn it on and off

• Yes. Your tv remote (mine is a LG) can control the speaker. So you can power on and off the speaker with your tv remote... And control the volume too.
