- Answer yes with multiple options of brightness. BUT like most microwave lights it gets very hot after any (15 min) length of use; even on lowest setting. Clearly not an LED light!

If you are venting the microwave oven internally, the charcoal filter should be replaced every 6 to 12 months, or more often if necessary. The charcoal filter cannot be cleaned. QuestionDoes this cook slow I read one review that said it was not powerful and cooked slow.

- Answer All over-the-range microwaves have less cooking power than what is available on countertop units. Codes and regulations dictate the maximum amperage (power) an appliance can draw from a standard 120 VAC circuit. In a countertop unit this can all be allocated to cooking. An over-the-range unit must also have an exhaust fan, and usually lighting, for the range. Slightly less cooking power, compared to a countertop unit, is available. Look for the power rating in the specifications. This LG is rated 1050 watts. That is quite good for an over-the-range unit. Similarly sized countertop units are 1200 to 1250 watts. I've had this unit for several months and it cooks no slower than the GE unit it replaced. However, it does not cook as fast as the countertop unit I had in my previous home.

QuestionI just purchased a LG microwave model:MVEL2033F and it has a high and low light switch on the front, but only the low button turns on the light. is a high-level light supposed to work? Only see one bulb in the light compartment underneath. Thanks

Most home improvement stores that sell LED appliance bulbs will have a chart showing the equivalent LED appliance bulb. The wattage for the bulb you intend to replace is typically printed or etched directly on the metal base or the side of the glass bulb.
