• HDMI is a possible connection you can use from it to the tv, you will need to buy or use a spare hdmi cable though

• Hook it to your cable box using the optic connection or bluetooth if it supports it .. they also sell auxsilary port cables that would also work on older head units

• I hooked mine up optically, but the unit also has HDMI
