Over-the-Range Smart Microwave with Sensor Cooking and ExtendaVent® 2.0 - Stainless Steel, Model # MVEL2137F, nor its mounting plate. • QuestionI am buying this microwave . Currently I do not have provision for vent out . Does Best Buy installation offer that to install with vent out . If not do they have any preferred endors who can offer that service

    Asked by Shiv.

    • Answer Hello there, Shiv. We understand your inquiry about the LG Over-the-Range Smart Microwave (MVEM2033D) and the installation services offered by Best Buy. While our team can answer questions about our products, for specifics regarding third-party retailer services like installation, it's best to contact them directly. Based on publicly available information, Best Buy's standard installation for over-the-range microwaves generally includes connecting the new unit to existing electrical outlets and ductwork. However, they typically do not perform any new construction, such as cutting into walls or cabinets to create a new vent duct. For that type of work, it is often necessary to hire a licensed contractor or electrician. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/lg-2-1-cu-ft-over-the-range-smart-microwave-with-sensor-cooking-and-extendavent-2-0-printproof-stainless-steel/J7G56535YV Your feedback is important, and we'd like to assist you further. • QuestionDoes the LG MVEL2137F have a rack?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hi, there. Thanks for your question about the LG Microwave (MVEL2137F) model. We’re happy to help clarify. Yes, this unit comes with a cooking rack, which is pretty handy for heating or cooking several dishes at the same time. Just pop the rack on the support brackets inside the microwave. A nice little tip for using it right is to keep in mind that the rack is meant for certain cooking functions. Oh, and it’s best to avoid using metal cookware or utensils with it, since that can lead to some arcing. For more information about the product, visit https://www.lg.com/us/cooking-appliances/lg-mvel2137f-over-the-range-microwave. If you’d like help with rack placement or cooking tips, please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport, and we’ll be glad to assist you further. ^Juvy

  • QuestionWe have a built in with the trim kit, is this model comparible to what I currently have which is Kenmore Elite model 405.7522310?

    Asked by Richardtwins.

    • Answer Hello there, Richard. Thank you for sharing your inquiry with us. We understand you're asking about the compatibility of your current Kenmore Elite trim kit with the LG Over-the-Range Smart Microwave (Model: MVEL2125F). Your feedback is important, and we'd like to assist you further. Microwave trim kits are specifically designed for certain models and their corresponding dimensions. The LG MVEL2125F has specific cutout dimensions (Cut-Out Height: 17 13/18 inches, Cut-Out Width: 29 7/8 inches). We cannot guarantee that a Kenmore Elite trim kit will be directly compatible or provide a seamless fit with an LG microwave, as they are designed for their respective brand's specifications. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-2-1-cu-ft-over-the-range-smart-microwave-with-sensor-cooking-and-extendavent-2-0-printproof-stainless-steel/6508557.p?skuId=6508557 Please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport and our team will be more than happy to explore possible solutions. • QuestionCan this microwave's hood be vented to the outside?

    Asked by jcplerm.

    • Answer Hi there. Thank you for sharing your inquiry with us. We understand your inquiry about venting options for your LG over-the-range microwave model MVEL2125F. According to the specifications, this model supports both external (ducted) and recirculating (non-ducted) venting configurations. The exhaust vent is located at the top, allowing you to connect ductwork that directs cooking exhaust to the outside (roof or wall). For external venting, you’ll need to install appropriate ductwork (e.g., 3¼" x 10" rectangular or minimum 6" diameter round) and ensure the total duct length and elbows comply (keep duct runs as short as possible, use a back-draft damper, seal joints, and follow clearance templates). If you prefer recirculating mode, charcoal filters are used, and no external duct is required, though capture efficiency is typically lower than with external venting. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-2-1-cu-ft-over-the-range-smart-microwave-with-sensor-cooking-and-extendavent-2-0-stainless-steel/6508557.p?skuId=6508557 If you need further guidance on planning or performing the vent installation—such as selecting duct size, routing, or template alignment—please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport and our team will be more than happy to explore possible solutions and ensure a smooth installation. • QuestionReplacing a dead LMHM2017ST/01. Is this the same size?

    Asked by njdanielle.

    • Answer Hi, Danipani. Thank you for reaching out to us! The LG Microwave (MVEL2125F) model has a 2.1 cu. ft. capacity, while the LMHM2017ST/01 model has a 2.0 cu. ft. capacity. While both microwaves are quite similar in size, the MVEL2125F is just slightly larger by 0.1 cu. ft. This small difference should not affect your installation or overall experience, but it’s always a good idea to double-check the dimensions of the new microwave to ensure it fits comfortably in your existing space. • QuestionMy microwave was just installed. The control panel light is constantly illuminated and does not turn off. Is this a malfunction or is there a setting I need to change? I was under the impression that the control panel light would turn off when not in use.

  • QuestionI have an open space above a built-in oven and that is where I want to put this microwave. Would this microwave work for the space? The measurements are all correct I am just wondering if I can set it in that space.

    Asked by melliott.

    • Answer Hi. The LG 2.1 cu. Ft. Smart Over-the-Range Microwave with ExtendaVent®2.0 & EasyClean®, Model # MVEL2137D, is designed for installation under your upper kitchen cabinet. The minimum installation clearance height before the microwave is installed is 30 ", and the minimum width between your upper kitchen cabinets is 30". It must be mounted against a flat, vertical wall, so it is supported by the wall. The wall should be constructed of a minimum of 2" x 4" wood studding and 3/8" thick drywall or plaster/lath. The 2 lag screws supporting the oven must be attached to a vertical, 2" x 4" wall stud, and the upper kitchen cabinet and rear wall structures that it must be attached to must support 150 lb. plus the weight of any items you place inside the oven or upper cabinet. All air vents should be kept clear during cooking. If air vents are covered during oven operation the oven may overheat. To prevent damage to the oven, a sensitive safety device detects overheating and automatically turns the oven off. The oven cannot be used until it has cooled sufficiently. Regrettably, we do not have enough information about the open space above your built-in oven, nor do we have instructions for installing this microwave oven other than those in the installation guide, so we cannot advise you if you can install it there...^Ivan.

  • QuestionDoes microwave magnetron have active or passive cooling to extend part life? Concern: Using microwave for extended time 12-15m, say for artichokes or other foods that require continuous cook times at 100% power.

    Asked by TooNerdy.

    • Answer Hello there! Thank you for your inquiry regarding the cooling features of the microwave magnetron in the LG MVEL2125F. We understand that you’re concerned about using the microwave for extended cooking times, such as for artichokes or other foods that require continuous cooking at 100% power. The magnetron in this microwave is designed with passive cooling features to help extend its lifespan during regular use. While it doesn't have active cooling mechanisms, the design allows for efficient heat dissipation, ensuring it operates effectively even during longer cooking sessions. This helps maintain performance while minimizing the risk of overheating during extended use. For best practices, it’s always advisable to monitor the microwave during prolonged cooking times, as well as to utilize the sensor cook feature, which determines when your food is ready based on humidity-sensing technology. This feature can help optimize cooking times and prevent overcooking. https://www.lg.com/us/cooking-appliances/lg-mvel2125f-over-the-range-microwave#pdp_specs If you have any further questions or would like more information about this microwave or any other LG products, please feel free to send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport. • QuestionThe depth of my cabinet is 15 1/8 wall to face. Will the door open with this depth. Is there a clearance required on LH side for door opening or amount the MW must protrude from the face of the cabinet for the door to open

    Asked by Joeh.

    • Answer Hello Joeh. Thank you for your inquiry about the LG Over-the-Range Smart Microwave model MVEL2137F. The door on this microwave typically requires some clearance on the left-hand side for proper opening. While the exact clearance needed can vary slightly, ensuring at least a few inches of space to the left of the microwave allows the door to open fully without obstruction. Regarding the depth of your cabinet, which is 15 1/8 inches from the wall to the face, this should provide sufficient clearance for the door to open comfortably. If you have further questions about installation or need specific measurements, please refer to the installation guide or contact our support team via @LGUSSupport on our social media platform.
